1. immerse: verb: 1. to involve or occupy completely. 2. to cover completely with water or liquid. She was so immersed in the magazine she was reading that she immersed her sleeve in her bowl of soup.
2. temptation: noun: something that tempts or attracts. It was so hot that I could not fight the temptation to jump into the cool water.
3. ravenous: adjective: very hungry. The ravenous kittens all fought for aa place at the saucer of milk.
4. facilitate: verb: to make less difficult; to help to progress. The outdoor drop box facilitates teh return of library materials.

Vocabulary

1. retaliate: verb: to strike back; to get revenge. It's best to avoid a bully. You could get hurt if you try to retaliate.
2. translucent: adjective: allowing only some light to pass through so that images can't be seen clearly. Most bathroom windows are translucent to ensure privacy, but let some light in.
3. jut: verb: to stick our sharply. The ocean scenery along this part of teh coast is made more interesting by rocks that jut out of the water.
4. asset: noun: something valuable or useful. Her great speed combined with endurance was a wonderful asset to the track team.
