3. appease: verb: to make calmer by giving in to demands. synonym: satisfy. The band came back on stage and played another song to appease its screaming fans.
4. partial: adjective: 1. not complete 2. unfair favor to one side. My teacher will not accept partial homework assignments, even from the students she seems to be partial to.
