Vocabulary

1. gratify: verb: to give pleasure or satidfaction.  Angela's good grades in school will gratify her parents.
2. impartial: adjective: not favoring one over the other. Synonym: fair. It was hard for the referee to be impartial when his son's team was playing.
3. knoll: noun: a small, rounded hill. We climbed to the top of the knoll to get a clear view of the sunset.
4. tolerate: verb: to put up with something. Synonym: endure. When my dog could no longer tolerate the kitten's playful nibbling, he turned around and barked at her.
