  1. antidote: noun: something that works agaist the effects of poison. People bitten by posionous snakes need to be given an antidote as soon as possible to prevent serious illness or death.
  2. loiter: verb: to stand around in a public place doing nothing in particular. The shopping center is locked up at night to prevent loitering.
  3. tattered: adjective: broken-down or worn-out. After years of use, the tattered leather sofa was finally replaced.
  4. exquisite: adjective: of exceptional beauty; finely made. The exquisite embroidery must have taken hours to complete.
